Russell Wilson, Ciara Announce They Are Expecting 1st Child

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Grammy Award-winning singer Ciara are expecting their first child after getting married in July.

Wilson made the announcement on his official Instagram page Wednesday:

Ciara has a two-year-old child, Future Zahir, from a previous relationship with rapper Future. This will be Wilson's first baby.

If the Seahawks star has his way, it won't be the last, though. He told Nicole Sands of People in July the newlyweds were planning to build a sizable family, with plenty of siblings for Future Zahir.

"I want to have a bunch of kids—me and Ci do," Wilson said. "I think that ever since the first day I ever met Ciara and Little Man, too, it's been really cool and really special."

While welcoming his first child to the world will change Wilson's life, the couple didn't announce how far along Ciara is in the pregnancy. For now, the focus remains on football as the quarterback continues his fifth season in the NFL with the Seahawks.

Seattle returns to action Sunday afternoon for a clash with the New Orleans Saints and quarterback Drew Brees.
