Hill Reportedly Named Week 1 Starter

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Vikings players were told Hill will get the start, but the team has yet to make a formal announcement.
The Vikings acquired Sam Bradford from the Philadelphia Eagles on September 3, giving up a first-round pick in 2017 and fourth-round pick in 2018.
Minnesota's quarterback situation became unstable after Teddy Bridgewater tore his ACL and dislocated his knee during practice on August 30, which ended his season before it began.
The deal for Bradford is expected to provide the Vikings with some stability at the quarterback position. Eric Eager of Pro Football Focus noted the veteran graded out slightly better than Bridgewater in 2015:
Joining the Vikings eight days before the first game of the season left Bradford with little time to get acclimated to head coach Mike Zimmer's system.
Hill is a career backup with some starting experience, owning a 16-18 record in 34 games as a starter. He has a solid completion percentage of 62 with 49 touchdowns and 30 interceptions.
Based on what they gave up to acquire him, the Vikings will likely turn to Bradford as soon as he learns the offensive system.
For now, though, it appears Hill will get his first action as a starting quarterback since 2014.
