Brady Putting Up MVP Numbers Since Return
It's unclear when Brady was injured, as he played every snap in Week 11's 30-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Jimmy Garoppolo will take over if Brady is forced to miss any action.
The 11-time Pro Bowler sat out the first four games of the regular season because of a suspension for his role in the Deflategate scandal. He has not missed a contest because of injury since he tore his ACL one game into the 2008 season.
"It's just personal, and I've tried to move on from it," Brady said of Deflategate, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "I try to focus on the positive, being here with my teammates and getting better. You don't want to go out and do anything but be a great example for your teammates."
The Patriots went 3-1 in the four games Brady missed. Garoppolo and third-stringer Jacoby Brissett split the starts after the former suffered a shoulder injury.
Brady's return has launched the Patriots to the top of the Super Bowl discussion, with the four-time champion playing almost flawless football. He's thrown for 1,915 yards and 16 touchdowns against one interception in six starts.
