If the Rockies make it as a Wild Card or Division Winner, the Coors Field seating will be at a premium as fans will all want to see the magical season continue.

The back-from-the-dead Colorado Rockies will need the home-field magic to continue this post-season if this season is to continue.

The Rockies started out 18-28. After that, they have gone an amazing 73-40 to climb into the post-season from the NL West basement.

Before the Rockies can start the post-season dream they have to sweep the Los Angeles Dodgers three games in a row in Los Angeles to be the NL West Division champs.

If they lose any of the 3 games they still will be in the Playoffs but as the NL Wild Card. The Division lead may also give them the best record in the National League and home field advantage in all rounds of the playoffs.

The Rockies are 51-30 at home this year and having the home field would certainly help the team’s chances of returning to the World Series. The Rockies are also the hottest of the four teams who have qualified for the NL post-season.

Out of the four teams in the post-season the Rockies are the hottest at 7-3. The Dodgers, Phillies, and Cardinals are all 4-6 in the last ten games and seem to be looking ahead.

For the Rockies their post-season started months ago, as every series they played was do or die. The beauty is that he organization never gave up and kept fighting, adding players down the stretch as the players kept battling.

They are the NL Cinderella story of 2009, with maybe the Twins as the AL version.

The end of the regular season is on Oct. 4 and the MLB post-season starts on Oct. 7.

Here is the post-season schedule for 2009.
