Ivory Released from Hospital

The Jaguars announced Ivory is doing well after being released from the hospital Tuesday, though there is no definitive timetable for his return to the playing field.
On Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN said Ivory was "in pain" and undergoing tests, according to sources. "His status is uncertain until tests [are] concluded," Schefter added.
The Florida Times-Union's Ryan O'Halloran reported Sunday that Ivory would not play against Green Bay in Week 1 after being admitted to the hospital because of a "general medical issue." O'Halloran noted Ivory was originally listed as questionable to play as a result of a calf injury.
Bradley Comments on Ivory's Health

"I talked to him before [we went to the hospital] and I talked to him afterward," Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said, per O'Halloran. "He was down, obviously, not being able to play in the game and afterward. He just wants to get better."
When asked if Ivory could miss "extended time," Bradley replied that he wished he could say and that he was "not sure right now."
Jaguars Need Ivory Healthy for Playoff Push
This is hardly the start the Jaguars would have wanted from Ivory, whom they signed to a five-year, $32 million contract in the offseason.
The seven-year veteran spent the past three seasons with the New York Jets, where he earned such a big deal thanks to his first career 1,000-yard season in 2015. He had recorded over 820 yards in the previous two years in New York after a limited role with the New Orleans Saints.

But Ivory was joining a Jaguars team that featured T.J. Yeldon, who rushed for 740 yards in 12 games during his rookie season in 2015, which meant his touches were bound to decrease.
