Injuries Continue to Surface for Luck
Playing behind a lackluster offensive line, Luck's body has taken a beating throughout his NFL career. The former No. 1 overall pick was sacked 115 times in his first 55 games from 2012-15.
That punishment eventually caught up to Luck last season, as he missed nine games due to injuries, and the Colts failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2011. He was having the worst year of his career before going down, completing 55.3 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
The 2012 No. 1 overall pick, Luck had a tremendous return in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions last week by going 31-of-47 with 385 passing yards and four touchdown passes in a 39-35 loss.
Should Luck miss time this season, Scott Tolzien is the backup quarterback and has started a total of two games in five seasons with five interceptions in his first 91 pass attempts.
