Vardy Decision Reportedly Delayed

Vardy is expected to make a final decision after England's participation at Euro 2016 is over, per Matt Law of the Telegraph. Ornstein originally reported a decision was due on Monday.

John Cross and James Nursey of the Daily Mirror reported on the same day that Wenger is "braced for disappointment" in his attempt to land Vardy. Cross and Nursey noted Wenger believes Vardy "would have accepted Arsenal's offer by now if he was keen to move to the Emirates [Stadium]."

Giroud Comments on Vardy

"I have been told that Jamie wants to join us and it's very good news for us," Arsenal's Olivier Giroud told Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday (h/t Sky Sports' Nick Lustig). "I think we can be complimentary [sic] and that's all I can say." He continued:

Ranieri Confirms Arsenal Bid

When asked whether the Gunners had triggered the forward's £20 million release clause, Foxes chief Ranieri told Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t the Sun's Alec Shilton): "It's all true."

According to the report, Vardy will undergo a medical with Arsenal on Sunday, rushed along so the player can then concentrate on his Euro 2016 campaign with England, beginning on Saturday.

Speculation over Vardy's future has been rife since the striker's form led Leicester to last season's Premier League title triumph, and broadcaster Stan Collymore has said the move will be a good one:

Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe did, however, note Vardy, 29, may be something of a short-term solution to Arsenal's attacking woes given what is arguably his biggest asset could soon decline:
