The Bills announced McCoy is available to play in Week 5 against Los Angeles.
Bills Need McCoy Healthy to Keep Momentum Rolling
After a disappointing 0-2 start, the Bills bounced back to move to 2-2, including a 16-0 win over the New England Patriots in Week 4. With McCoy in the lineup, it's a boost as the Bills attempt to build on their hot streak against a beatable opponent in Week 5.
After he appeared in all 16 games during the 2013 and 2014 seasons, McCoy was limited to 12 appearances in his first campaign in Buffalo due to a variety of bumps and bruises.
Not only did McCoy suffer a Grade 2 hamstring pull early in the year, but he also battled a shoulder injury and concussion as the season progressed.
When he was healthy, McCoy continued to turn heads as one of the NFL's most electrifying rushers. Although he fell short of eclipsing the 1,000-yard mark for just the third time in seven seasons, Shady tallied a solid average of 4.4 yards per carry while rushing for three scores. McCoy also caught 32 passes for 292 yards and two touchdowns.
Through four games this season, McCoy has rushed for 297 yards. Mike Gillislee is the running back with the second-most rushing yards on the team with just 50.
