Breshad Perriman Injury: Updates on Ravens WR's Knee and Recovery
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman injured his left knee on June 9 while attempting to make a catch on a fade route, according to ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley.
Despite fears he might be lost for the season, the team has confirmed Perriman is expected to return before the season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery, though an exact timeline has yet to be established.

Latest on Severity of Perriman's Injury Following Surgery
Tuesday, June 14
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ProFootballTalk reported that Perriman does not have a torn ACL and received a stem-cell injection Tuesday. They added that his knee was deemed stable and is expected to be OK for the regular season, which ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed after Perriman underwent arthroscopic surgery.
Schefter first reported Monday that Perriman would have arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to determine if he would need reconstructive surgery. Schefter added at the time that Dr. James Andrews' examination of Perriman revealed that he may not have suffered a "significant ACL tear."
Rapoport first reported Monday that if Perriman didn't need reconstructive surgery, he would undergo a stem-cell injection to heal the ACL on its own.
Schefter was the first to cite a source Monday saying there was "absolutely" a chance Perriman could play in the regular season.

Wright Comments on Perriman's Injury
Saturday, June 11
ESPN's Josina Anderson spoke with Perriman's teammate, Shareece Wright, about Perriman's latest setback:
"I was just talking to Ladarius Webb about how good Breshad (Perriman) was looking and how we were looking forward to seeing him play this year. This was my first opportunity to actually see him in person since this is my first offseason with the Ravens. I just hope he recovers and the injury is not as bad when they look deeper.

Perriman Unable to Stay Healthy in the NFL
Perriman missed his entire rookie season with a PCL injury that required surgery, and he said in May the ailment took a toll on him.
According to Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official website, Perriman said he "shut everyone out" after the injury-riddled campaign put him in a "dark hole."
"It’s been crazy," Perriman said, per Mink. "I've been through a lot this offseason, but it's just making me stronger again and just learning to keep faith and pray a lot more. It’s been rough. It still is rough from time to time, but I’m steady getting through it, pushing through it and keeping faith."
The 26th pick of the 2015 draft, Perriman has the size (6'2", 218 lbs) and speed necessary to evolve into one of quarterback Joe Flacco's primary targets.
And given that tight end Dennis Pitta, 30, and wide receiver Steve Smith Sr., 37, are both coming off injury-plagued seasons, Baltimore was likely hoping Perriman would make his injury woes a thing of the past.
