The relationship between Conor McGregor and UFC brass has been a hot topic for months now, and it seems to have only gotten worse over recent weeks. With that in mind, UFC executives had a clandestine meeting with McGregor at the Montage hotel in Beverly Hills, California, according to TMZ.

What did they talk about? What's next for McGregor's MMA career? Will the UFC let Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight?!

Nobody knows...but TMZ was at ground zero and spotted McGregor and UFC President Dana White going intoand coming out ofa ritzy dinner. Here's the footage it captured:

TMZ added the following:

"

Our sources tell us the two men hugged when they first metbut we're told it was a very aggressive embrace...the kind you could hear from down the hall.

White and McGregor were all smiles as they headed up the stairs to a private dinner flanked by three very large gentlemen. The meeting took roughly two hours.

"

The powwow comes at a very interesting time in UFC history. There were longstanding rumors, per MMA Mania, about a growing rift between McGregor and the UFC, and despite White's vehement denials, the UFC's willingness to leave an estimated $45 million on the table, according to ESPN.com's Darren Rovell, by pulling him off UFC 200 seemed to confirm that things were frosty at best.

Did this meeting help mend fences between the two? It's too early to tell, but fans will likely find out in the coming months.
