USMNT Watch: Pulisic Scores for 2nd Straight Week as Copa Buzz Continues
The buzz surrounding the next future star of the United States men's national soccer team continued this weekend as Christian Pulisic netted his second consecutive goal for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
Pulisic is one of the best prospects in the history of the national team program, and the talk about him joining the Yanks for June's Copa America Centenario is serious.
The 17-year-old wasn't the only potential member of the 23-man Copa squad to find the back of the net on Saturday. Jordan Morris also extended his scoring streak for the Seattle Sounders.
We'll have news on those stories and much more below in our latest USMNT Watch.
Christian Pulisic Ignites Copa Talk with Goal for Dortmund
There is no doubt the 17-year-old Pennsylvania native has game-changing talent, but whether he gets to use that this summer on the international level remains to be seen.
Pulisic knocked in a rebound in the 45th minute of Dortmund's 3-0 win over Stuttgart at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Saturday for his second goal in as many games.
Had the USMNT U23 squad qualified for the Olympics, Pulisic would have been a lock to play in that competition to further his progress on the world's biggest stage, but now sights are set on the Copa.
There's no guarantee Pulisic will start, given the experience in the USMNT squad, but he has the potential to be a key piece off the bench for Jurgen Klinsmann and Co.
Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Alfredo Morales returned to the Ingolstadt starting lineup and notched a tally in the 10th minute in their 2-2 draw with Hannover.
Down in the 2. Bundesliga, Bobby Wood handed out an assist in Union Berlin's 6-2 defeat at the hands of Nurnberg.
Jordan Morris, Gyasi Zardes Among Scorers in MLS
The hype train kept on rolling in Major League Soccer as well on Saturday, as Morris struck the back of the net in the Sounders' 3-1 loss to Colorado.
The Stanford University product handed the Sounders a glimmer of hope at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in the 63rd minute when he struck the bottom part of the net from the right side of the box.
Morris' strike was also his second in two games. If he begins to heat up in front of goal, the 21-year-old will be a lock for the Copa squad as well.
The first goal of the game between the Sounders and Rapids was scored by Jermaine Jones, who has made an impact right away for Colorado. As much as USMNT fans might not like it, Jones could be in line for a Copa call-up if he performs well over the next month.
Gyasi Zardes was a part of the L.A. Galaxy's 5-2 drubbing of Real Salt Lake at the StubHub Center on Saturday. The forward scored in the 19th minute and assisted on Emmanuel Boateng's 41st-minute strike.

One name to keep an eye on as the Copa approaches is Philadelphia's C.J. Sapong. The target forward, who fits the needs of the USMNT at the position, scored his fourth goal of the season in the Union's 2-0 win over New York City FC.
Geoff Cameron and Stoke City Fall to Manchester City
It's been a rough few weeks for Geoff Cameron and Stoke City. The Potters were once again on the losing end of a blowout on Saturday when they dropped a 4-0 result to Manchester City.

Mark Hughes' side have conceded 12 goals to Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in their last three league matches.
Luckily for Cameron and his teammates, their next opponent is less threatening than those sides. Stoke host Sunderland on Saturday.
Tim Howard was on the bench for Everton's FA Cup loss to Manchester United, and Brad Guzan let in four strikes in Aston Villa's loss to Southampton.
Down in the Championship, Eric Lichaj recorded an assist in Nottingham Forest's 3-1 win over Fulham. Tim Ream and Emerson Hyndman started for the Cottagers.
USMNT Announces Pre-Copa Friendly in Puerto Rico
After announcing a pair of pre-Copa America Centenario friendlies a few weeks ago, U.S. Soccer revealed Thursday the Yanks will play Puerto Rico on May 22 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The goal of the friendly is to keep the European-based players fresh before the stars who ply their trade in North America join up for the full camp that features matches against Ecuador on May 25 in Frisco, Texas, and against Bolivia on May 28 in Kansas City, Missouri.
A few of those matches may witness the beginning of a new era if players such as Pulisic and Morris make the 23-man squad for the June tournament.
News and Notes: Bob Bradley and Le Havre Draw in Promotion Fight
Bob Bradley's Le Havre failed to gain the full three points on their travels Friday night. The fourth-place side in Ligue 2 drew 1-1 with Evian Thonon Gaillard, while promotion rivals Metz pulled away in the standings with a win over Red Star. After 35 matches, Le Havre sit three points out of third, but they are also one point ahead of seventh-place Clermont Foot.
Omar Gonzalez was one of a few USMNT-eligible players who started in Liga MX over the weekend. The center-back played 90 minutes in Club Pachuca's 1-1 draw with Chivas, but he conceded the game-tying goal.
Joe Corona produced a game-winning assist in Dorados' 1-0 win over Morelia, while William Yarbrough and Leon earned a 1-1 draw against Atlas.
