Barcelona Transfer News: Leroy Sane Reveals Blaugrana Desire Amid Latest Rumours
Schalke starlet Leroy Sane has revealed it’s his dream to play for Barcelona one day.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with numerous big clubs around Europe after a stellar season in the Bundesliga, and although the Germany international insisted he won’t be leaving Germany any time soon, he holds a soft spot for Barca—per Bild (via Kieran Cleeves of Goal.com):
"I think next season I will play at Schalke. However, I make no secret. Sometime in the future I want to play abroad at an even bigger club than Schalke. Most of all at Barca—even as a little boy that was my dream club."

Sane has been something of a revelation for Schalke in 2015/16, scoring five league goals and assisting five more, according to WhoScored.com.
The stats don’t quite tell the whole story, though, as Sane has been about far more than just goals and assists.
The way he creates space for others with his movement is exemplary, while his eye for a pass defies his tender 20 years.
Here’s a reminder of what Sane can bring to the table:
Football Insider (via James Walters of the Daily Star) recently reported that Liverpool were weighing up a £30 million move for Sane, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea also sniffing around for his signature.
A move to Barcelona over the Premier League is undoubtedly more appealing for the German, and there’s also one destination that he ruled out completely.
When asked whether or not Sane would consider a move to Schalke’s Ruhr rivals Borussia Dortmund, he said: “No, even if successful football is played, I would never move.”
Sane’s value is only likely to go one way over the next few seasons, and teams could look to tempt Schalke into an early sale with a big-money bid.
Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has reportedly agreed personal terms to join Barcelona in the summer.

That’s according to Loic Tanzi, Ignasi Oliva and Bruno Andrade of Goal.com, who wrote that the centre-back has agreed an annual salary of €4.5 million at the Camp Nou.
Marquinhos is under contract in the French capital until 2019, and Barca are said to be willing to pay up to €50 million to lure him to Catalonia.
Barcelona’s recent El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid ended the Blaugrana’s remarkable unbeaten run, yet they remain on for historic La Liga and Champions League triumphs.
Luis Enrique’s men are looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday with a trip to mid-table Real Sociedad.
