Villanova vs. UNC: Live Score, Highlights for 2016 NCAA Championship Game
Kris Jenkins' three-pointer as time expired earned Villanova a 77-74 win over North Carolina, giving the Wildcats its first national championship since 1985.
Jenkins swished the shot from NBA range after North Carolina (33-7) tied it on an acrobatic three by Marcus Paige with 4.7 seconds left. The Tar Heels rallied from down 10 in the second half but weren't able to take the lead down the stretch.
Villanova (35-5) trailed 39-34 at halftime but used stifling defense in the second half to pull out the title. The Wildcats held UNC to 42.9 percent shooting overall, while they were at 58.3 percent for the game.
