Free-agent safety Jimmy Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, sources told Pro Football Talk on Friday.
The five-year veteran spent last season with the San Diego Chargers, appearing in 13 games, starting six and recording one interception.

Wilson spent the first four years of his career with the Miami Dolphins after breaking into the league as a 25-year-old.
He had a delayed start to his professional career after spending 25 months in prison for murder charges that he was later acquitted of.
Since his arrival in the league, he's played in at least 13 games in every season, recording five career interceptions and 163 solo tackles.
After signing a two-year, $4.85 million deal with the Chargers prior to the 2015 season, though, the team cut him in December, and he hadn't caught on with another team since.
He's headed to a Chiefs secondary that was a top-10 unit in the league, having allowed fewer than 3,700 passing yards in 2015. But with the retirement of Husain Abdullah—who had battled concussion issues throughout his seven-year career—on Monday, there's an opening for Wilson to come in and compete for regular playing time.
