India vs. Pakistan
India 119-4 (Kohli 55*) beat Pakistan 118-5 (S. Malik 26) by six wickets.

Pakistan batted first, with Ahmed Shehzad and Sharjeel Khan taking to the crease. Khan managed to clock up 17 runs before being removed by Suresh Raina. Shehzad stuck around a little longer, adding 25 to Pakistan's total before Jasprit Bumrah sent him to the pavilion.
Only two more Pakistan batsmen notched double figures, but Umar Akmal's 22 and Shoaib Malik's team-high 26 helped them to a total of 118 for five.
It was a relatively manageable target for India, and Kohli's unbeaten 55 made the process much smoother for the tournament hosts.
Kohli's heroics are nothing new, particularly when leading a chase. ESPN Cricinfo's Bharath Seervi noted how Kohli has made a habit of putting 50 or more on the board in these situations:
There was plenty of spin from the Pakistan bowlers on a very tough wicket. Suresh Raina fell victim to the temperamental pitch when he departed after facing just one delivery, per Sky Sports Cricket:
Shikhar Dhawan couldn't handle a straight up-and-down seamer from Mohammad Sami and left for a measly six runs.
That was part of a solid early start from Pakistan with the ball. Rohit Sharma was caught by Malik off Mohammad Amir's bowling, while Yuvraj Singh walked when Sami made a nice catch from Wahab Riaz's delivery.
Kohli described the pressure that seeing those early wickets fall applied to himself and his team-mates, per ESPN Cricinfo:
It was Kohli blasting a six that calmed India's nerves, before he rolled another shot to the boundary to earn four more. The boundaries mounted up as Kohli held his nerve and produced some impeccable timing at the wicket.
Kohli remained at the crease until the end, and he was joined by MS Dhoni in the 12th over. The latter clinched the victory with a single in the 15th.
If Pakistan are going to put things right against group leaders New Zealand, the likes of Malik and Akmal must produce more with the bat in order to give their bowlers something to defend.
