Fan Set to Win £25,000 Bet If Leicester Win Premier League, Won't Cash out

Tom WebbFeb 3, 2016

One brave, or potentially omniscient, Leicester City fan is on course to win £25,000 from a £5 bet if the Foxes defy the odds and win the Premier League this season.

Optimistic supporter Leigh Herbert explained on Twitter how he "had a few drinks on holiday the day Claudio [Ranieri] was appointed" and made the bet back in August.

Leicester currently sit top of the table, three points ahead of second-place Manchester City, who they play at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. They then face an equally challenging trip to Arsenal, as Ranieri's side look forward to a fortnight that could make or break their unlikely title challenge.

"

@marcuspolo1981 @brucemillington still a way to go but leicester are playing like champions

And though there is currently no cash out option, Herbert insists he won't take it even when it becomes available.

"

@A_Kemo26 @ChesterMikeFH @brucemillington no cash out yet, I won't cash out anyway it's only a fiver

May the Foxes be with you, Leigh!
