Hollis-Jefferson's Timetable for Recovery Revealed
Wednesday, Dec. 9
The Nets announced Hollis-Jefferson is expected to miss eight to 10 weeks after surgery.
Injury Slows Strong 1st Season for Hollis-Jefferson
Hollis-Jefferson, 20, is averaging 5.2 points, 6.1 rebounds (fourth among qualifying rookies), 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals (first among qualifying rookies) in 22.1 minutes per game this year during his rookie season. He's already proven to be an excellent defensive player and has shown a great deal of upside early in his career, so this injury is a slight setback in an otherwise promising rookie campaign.
Bojan Bogdanovic will step into the starting lineup to replace Hollis-Jefferson, though Wayne Ellington and Markel Brown will now likely see more action at shooting guard as well.
