Cristiano Ronaldo Set to Meet Haidar Moustafa, Survivor of Beirut Attacks
The power of social media to do good was made clear this week, as reports emerged that plans were being made for Cristiano Ronaldo to meet Haidar Moustafa, a three-year-old victim of last week's attacks in Beirut.
The young Real Madrid fan was injured in a blast that took the lives of both his parents, via the Associated Press (h/t U.S. News and World Report), prompting local reporter Rana Harbi to start the hashtag #CristianoMeetHaidar in an attempt to arrange a meeting between the pair.
The campaign quickly gathered momentum before reports confirmed Haidar had received a call from Spain to organise a meeting with Ronaldo.
