Jose Mourinho Reportedly Wants Return to Real Madrid Amid Chelsea Exit Rumours
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly been in contact with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and wants to end his second tenure as Blues boss to have another crack as manager of Real Madrid.
Those claims are made by Fichajes (h/t Daily Express' Adam Skinner) following Chelsea's poor start to the 2015-16 season, which has been filled with more controversies than positive results.
As reported by the Daily Mail's Chris Cutmore and Anthony Joseph, Mourinho has already been fined by the Football Association this season for suggesting officials are biased against him after the loss to Southampton. He has also been involved in an ugly battle in the press with former club doctor Eva Carneiro and on Wednesday made headlines for apparently shoving a teenager.

On top of all that, the Blues sit just 12th in the Premier League standings and third in their Champions League group after a goalless draw against Dynamo Kiev. While Mourinho's position doesn't appear to be under real threat yet, the current situation at Stamford Bridge is less than ideal.
Despite all of that, Fichajes' claims he wants to return to Madrid seem questionable at best. As reported by Skinner, Mourinho left Los Blancos having won just one La Liga title and one Copa del Rey in three seasons, and he didn't leave the club on the best of terms.
He feuded with club icon Iker Casillas and large sections of the fanbase were happy to see him go in 2013. Carlo Ancelotti replaced Mourinho in the Spanish capital, and he guided the team to the Champions League title.
Ancelotti has since left the club and was replaced by former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez. Per Paddy Power, he might have a thing or two to say about these latest Mourinho rumours:
Mourinho's seven-minute rant after the 3-1 loss against Southampton started with him saying he doesn't "run away from responsibilities,” per the Daily Mail's Ashley Clements, before going on and making it very clear he has no intention of leaving the Blues at this particular time:
"One, I not run away. Two, if the club wants to sack me they have to sack me because I’m not running away from my responsibilities from my team and from my convictions.
That, be champions is obviously very difficult because the distance is considerable but I’m more than convinced that we finish top four, and when the season is so bad if you finish top four it is OK.
Third even more important than first and second, I think this is a crucial moment in the history of this club.
Do you know why? Because if the club sacks me they sack the best manager that this club have, and secondly the message is again the message of bad result, the manager is guilty and this is the message that not just these players but the other ones before they got during a decade.
"
It seems highly unlikely Mourinho would give such a passionate plea defending himself and his position as Chelsea manager, only to turn around and call Perez about a job he walked away from just two years ago.
Real have just started a new project with Benitez and will at the very least give the new manager a chance, and Mourinho seems committed to bringing Chelsea back to the top, eyeing a top-four finish.
A reunion between the two seems unlikely to happen at any point, and particularly not at this time.
