Revis said "I'm fine" when asked about his hamstring, according to Dom Cosetino of NJ.com. The corner continued to say he's "looking forward to the game," per Cosetino.

Who Must Step Up if Revis Misses Time This Season?

Revis, 30, returned to the New York Jets this offseason after stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots the past two seasons, signing a five-year, $70 million contract.

His return—along with the return of corner Antonio Cromartie and the selection of defensive tackle Leonard Williams in the first round of the NFL draft—was expected to give the Jets one of the most fearsome defenses in the NFL in Todd Bowles' first season as head coach.

Revis Island was back in full force by the team's second game, as he intercepted a pass and recovered two fumbles in the team's Monday Night Football win over the Indianapolis Colts

"He's one of the best defensive players I've ever seen," linebacker David Harris said after that game, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. "He's the man."

And he's the key player in New York's defense. He is capable of shutting out a team's top receiver, taking pressure off the other players in the secondary and allowing the Jets to blitz without worrying about getting burnt on deep plays down the field.

Should Revis miss time this season, players such as Cromartie, Buster Skrine and Darrin Walls will need to step up in a big way. There is no replacing a player like Revis—Jets fans who watched the team the last two years could tell you that—but New York has enough depth to avoid falling apart without him.
