Ryan Comments on Watkins' Potential Week 6 Return
Monday, Oct. 12
"I feel good about Sammy for next week's game," head coach Rex Ryan said. "We wanted to hold him out one more week."
How Watkins' Injury Impacted Bills
Robert Woods, Charles Clay and Percy Harvin (inactive for Week 6) have had to fill the void left by Watkins.
Despite his smaller 6'1", 211-pound frame, Watkins' speed (4.43 40-yard dash) and catching ability make him a dangerous target.
Watkins has shown flashes of brilliance as a playmaker, recording 982 yards on 65 receptions in 2014. The 22-year-old missed time in the preseason as a preventative measure because of glute soreness. His return is important as Tyrod Taylor is inactive and the Bills are starting EJ Manuel against the Bengals.
