7'1" HS Center Thon Maker Crosses Up Defender, Sinks Jumper at Fab 48
Thon Maker is a tall, skilled man.
At ", 218 pounds with handles to spare, the 18-year-old South Sudanese prospect (currently enrolled at Orangeville District Secondary School in Ontario, Canada) is one of the most intriguing quantities of the 2016 recruiting class.
Freelance writer Tony Rehagen wrote a special to USA Today on Wednesday about Maker's bulking process. After starting out at 190 pounds, he's put nearly 30 pounds on his large frame through weightlifting and diet adjustments.
This bodily transformation, combined with video of the things he did at the Fab 48 tournament in Las Vegas on Wednesday, makes for terrifying news.
BallIsLife.com's Arek posted video of Maker going to work at the tourney. He nearly collapsed the roof after crossing up another 5-star big man, Edrice Adebayo.
After leaving Adebayo on skates, Maker pulled up and drained a long jumper, possibly even a three-pointer.
A Vine, per user Olgun:
That is just silly. S-I-L-L-Y. Silly. Even if Adebayo slipped a tad, no one that big should move like this.
Also, while Maker did apply the business, the reactions to the cross may be the best part.

Maker has yet to commit to a college but is considering Kentucky, Indiana and Arizona State, to name a few.
Whatever conference he ends up in, god bless the 5 who has to come out and play him at the perimeter.
