Who Is the Jacksonville Jaguars' Most Underrated Playmaker?
Last year, a player stepped up to become a surprise playmaker and valuable member of the Jacksonville Jaguars offense. Allen Hurns came out of nowhere as an undrafted free agent, and his six touchdowns last season were proof that any player can make an impact.
The "underrated playmaker" is a fan favorite and can turn a decent offense into an electric one. In 2014, that player turned out to be Hurns.
One could argue that Hurns' Week 1 performance (110 yards, two touchdowns) put him on the map, but his ability to light up defenses randomly wasn't as appreciated after he cooled down to his expectations throughout the season.

Predicting Joe Burrow's Next Destination if Bengals Disappoint ✈️
There was one other player who made an impact like Hurns, and his incredible progress helped the Jaguars for as long as he saw the field in 2014: Denard Robinson.
To Jaguars fans and anyone who was quick to bite on rapid spikes in fantasy production, Robinson became a conundrum: How could this former Michigan quarterback turn into a running back who has shown remarkable promise?
Then, after a few weeks of excellent performances, the weight of being the lead back and a less than stellar offensive line got to a relatively inexperienced Robinson and saw his production dip followed by an unfortunate foot sprain in the 27-13 loss against the Houston Texans on December 7.
Here's a table showing his progress from 2013 to 2014:
| Year | Games Played | Rushing Attempts | Rushing Yards | Touchdowns | Receptions | Receiving Yards |
| 2013 | 16 | 20 | 66 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2014 | 13 | 135 | 582 | 4 | 23 | 124 |
However, Robinson will be coming back with a chip on his shoulder and with a better all-around offense surrounding him. And while he's coming into a better situation in 2015, he's also coming into it with 2015 NFL draft second-round selection T.J. Yeldon.
Yeldon will be the starting running back in 2015, save for a freak occurrence or an incredibly significant drop in play. And while this may not sound good for Robinson, it should actually open up his versatility for the Jaguars.
With the shortcomings of Toby Gerhart and the mediocre-at-best play of Storm Johnson, Robinson had to raise his game as the top running back. This somewhat limited his overall effect on the offense and really wasn't the preferred application of "Shoelace."
With Yeldon taking the reins of lead RB to start the season, Robinson will see time as a RB, wide receiver, punt returner and potentially some other flex positions.
Get hyped for Robinson's 2015 season with this highlight video below:
Marking Robinson will be difficult, and the fact that he won't see the field in just one dimension should open him up for the big, decisive runs we saw last season. He's got decent technical ability all around, and he only seems to be getting better, as seen in the table above.
It was easy to write Robinson off after the selection of Yeldon, but this could be a chance for Robinson to became the offensive weapon he seemed to be in the draft.
Robinson is not the best offensive player on the team. But he's got a tremendous amount of ability, and he seems to be improving with each year. There's no guarantee of success, but Robinson is ready to show exactly how explosive he can be in 2015.
What do you think? Does Robinson step up and become an all-around offensive beast? Or does he flop and lose his way with the Jaguars? Answer the poll, and comment below.
