Is This a Sign That the NFL Is Preparing for the Rams to Move to Los Angeles?

Kyle NewportMay 4, 2015

There has been a lot of speculation that there will be at least one NFL team, perhaps the St. Louis Rams, moving to Los Angeles at some point in the next few years. Knowing that, the NFL may already be preparing for a move to happen.

A reader over at Field of Schemes was apparently doing some investigative work and stumbled across something interesting on the NFL's website. There is already a page set up for an "LA" team:

Note: The page was removed by 5:40 p.m. ET on May 4, just a few hours after this article was published.

Some of you may wonder if that page is more for historical purposes, considering that "Anaheim Stadium" is listed as the team's stadium. The old Los Angeles Rams played in Los Angeles for nearly 50 years and played at Anaheim Stadium from 1980 to 1994 (or before the Internet ever took off).

However, if you click on the link for the team's ticketing page, it takes you to a page that allows you to purchase tickets to each of the Rams' 2015 home games:

The plot thickens.

The Rams have been the team most linked to Los Angeles, so it might make St. Louis fans concerned to see an L.A. page already in place. Who knows when the page was set up, but it will only add fuel to the fire of the talk that the Rams are leaving St. Louis.
