Local Cubs TV Broadcast Features All Sorts of Bad Graphic Errors
The Chicago Cubs are having a rough start to the 2015 season, guys.
Thus far, they've applied the "Put a Bird on It" philosophy in masking unmet deadlines, converted the upper deck concourse into a pee-drizzled slip-and-slide and now, through no fault of their own, they are garnering sideways headlines due to a local news snafu.
Deadspin's Tom Ley spotted a series of egregiously bad Chyron fails that ran during ABC 7 Chicago's introduction to Wednesday night's game between the Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals.
The broadcast featured graphics with multiple spelling and geographic errors that may lead you to wonder if a well-meaning Labrador typed each word with its mouth.
For starters, the Mariners are not in "San Franscisco."

And "Milwalkee" is not Algonquin for "The Good Land."

Little known fact: The "Washigton" was a precursor to the Charleston.

In all fairness to ABC 7, "Cincinnnati" is a trap word, and going heavy on the N's is safer than pouring on the T's.

C'mon, guys. We've got tarps in the outfield, pee on the floor and the Mariners taking the Google bus to work. We can do better, Chicago. I know we can.
Dan is on Twitter, watching the Cubs' pets' heads falling off.
