Gareth Bale Talks Future at Real Madrid in Spanish Radio Interview
Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has ruled out the prospect of a move to Manchester United in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena SER.
The winger spoke at length with host El Larguero about myriad topics, but when asked about a potential transfer back to the Premier League, Bale insisted that there is no chance he'll be leaving the Spanish capital, per RMadridHome:

"Gareth Bale: "Signing for Manchester United next season? That's not possible. I'm very happy at Real Madrid." #HalaMadrid

Speculation has raged in recent weeks regarding the Red Devils launching a world-record £120 million bid for the Tottenham Hotspur man, per Colin Harvey of the Daily Star. But during the interview, Bale only seemed to be looking forward to future challenges with the European champions:

The rumours regarding Bale’s potential exit have been fueled recently by some perceived acts of selfishness. In recent games, the Welshman has chosen to shoot at goal instead of passing to teammates Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, who were in perceivably better positions on the field.
But the 25-year-old has quelled any talk of a rift between himself and his teammates:
"Gareth Bale: "I didn't talk with Cristiano about where the passes weren't made. Nothing is taken personally." #HalaMadrid

"Gareth Bale: "Against Valencia? I didn't see Karim Benzema. A lot of things happen on the pitch." #HalaMadrid

Bale was also asked about the club’s latest acquisition, Martin Odegaard. The Norwegian starlet chose Real over a host of interested European juggernauts, and while the Los Blancos No. 11 admitted that he’s seen little of the 16-year-old, he expects him to have no problem becoming integrated into the club’s fabric:
"Gareth Bale: "I haven't seen Martin Odegaard play yet." #HalaMadrid

"Gareth Bale: "We will welcome Martin Odegaard with open arms." #HalaMadrid

The former Tottenham man also spoke of his early days with the Spanish giants and how having former Spurs teammate Luka Modric around helped him settle quickly:
"Gareth Bale: "For me, it was very important that Luka Modric was in the team. We had a great relationship at Tottenham." #HalaMadrid

"Gareth Bale: "It's not difficult to have friends in a great team. It's like in any other squad." #HalaMadrid

Upon signing for the club in a world-record £80 million deal, Bale admitted it was a dream fulfilled. During the interview, he reminisced about the players who he idolised in the famous all-white kit growing up:
"Gareth Bale: "Since I was young, I always watched Real Madrid. They had the best footballers." #HalaMadrid

"Gareth Bale: "I liked watching Zinedine Zidane & Ronaldo. They did things that no one else could have done." #HalaMadrid

Despite scoring a host of important goals for the club in the relative infancy of his Los Blancos career, there’s an eminent sense that Bale is a little underappreciated by the Madridistas that frequent the Santiago Bernabeu. Indeed, a recent poll conducted by AS suggested that the majority of the club’s supporters would be happy to sell him.
But Bale insisted that he feels very much wanted by the club’s fans and doesn’t want to indulge in a personal battle with Ronaldo:
"Gareth Bale: "I feel cared for by the fans at the Santiago Bernabeu. I hope to continue working and win all the trophies." #HalaMadrid
— RMadridHøme (@RMadridHome) January 27, 2015"
"Gareth Bale: "It's not a competition about who the fans want more (Cristiano or me). I just want to work." #HalaMadrid
— RMadridHøme (@RMadridHome) January 27, 2015"

There’s certainly little to suggest that the world’s most expensive player is angling for a move. His influence has been severely understated since his cornerstone transfer, and despite recent criticisms, Bale is actually maturing into a real talisman for this Real Madrid team.
With a ban looming for Ronaldo, the Welshman has a real chance to grasp the initiative and show the supporters that he’s more than capable of being the main man. Up to now, the Welshman’s proved he’s a player that relishes those kinds of challenges, and with that in mind, the Los Blancos hierarchy will not be entertaining the notion of a transfer any time soon.
