Arsenal, Spurs Ban 'Selfie Sticks' from White Hart Lane, the Emirates
Humanity and hope for the future are big winners when "selfie sticks" are banned from grounds.
Likes on Instagram, on the other hand, are going to suffer.
In a rare form of unity between hated north London neighbours Tottenham and Arsenal, both clubs have recently announced that they've banned 'selfie sticks' from White Hart Lane and the Emirates, respectively.
Spurs fan @LiamCSWY tweeted out the welcoming (for most) news, and apparently, it was received rather well by the masses, according to tweets sent in his direction.
Arsenal, it seems, followed suit and made a similar effort to rid their ground of the sticks.
A spokesman for the Gunners was quoted in the Camden New Journal (via Lee Thomas-Mason of the Daily Mirror) as saying the following: "We can confirm that 'selfie sticks' are banned on matchdays at Emirates Stadium. The club's ground regulations prohibit any object that could be used as a weapon or could compromise public safety."
