If there is a ever a chance to show and prove NOW is the time for Randy Shannon going into the '09 season with the first four games going up against some big time opponents week 1 Florida st, week 2 Georgia tech, week 3 Virginia tech and then a big showdown in Miami Gardens in week 4 against the Oklahoma Sooners.

If Randy Shannon cant win three out of the four games its pretty much a done deal for the head coach and it wont be pretty, Shannon a great defensive coach did not have a good '08 campaign going 7-6 and losing to Cal in the Emerald bowl 26-17.

Shannon stated that he isn't  like other coaches who have left in the past he will be Coach of the Cane's for a long time also stating that every year they get better and if i was a Cane's fan i would'ent be happy with that statement, Cause that means at the end of the 2012 season the Cane's will finally hit double digits in the win colunm.

The problem about that Mr. Shannon is that the head coaches that left went on to the National Football League Erickson (Seattle), Davis (Cleveland), Johnson (Dallas) and were successful in Miami.

The Hurricanes under Shannon have had a couple of Transfers and a couple of Offensive or defensive coaches leave the program.

In his first two years he (Shannon) is 12-13, the University of Miami since 2001 until the time Shannon took over had only lost 15 games two more then Shannon has lost in two years and now you know why he hasn't even been offered an extension. Sorry Will Cane and the rest of you Hurricane die harders but expect a 6-6 season and 4th in the conference

On the sideline's in charge Shannon looks like a man on the wire with no direction and no game plan taking two steps backward and one forward in the best interest of the University and its all Faithful's the Program needs to cut tie's.

Note: all you Cane Crazies check out a good friend of mine "ours", Will Cane with lots of great articles all about the Miami Hurricanes Football "Coming Soon"
