Jennings Leaves Bucks Game with Achilles Injury
Saturday, Jan. 24
The Detroit Pistons' season took a turn for the worse Saturday night when point guard Brandon Jennings went down with a potentially serious left leg injury versus the Milwaukee Bucks.
Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated had the initial details regarding Jennings' situation:
Vincent Goodwill of The Detroit News had more after Jennings went to the locker room:
Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski noted the sentiment surrounding the organization:
Keith Langlois of Pistons.com added more detail from head coach Stan Van Gundy:
NBA.com supplied a view of the play:
On Sunday, Jennings commented on Twitter about the injury:
"Not being able to play basketball is the worst thing.

"The Jennings injury sucks on many levels. Post-Josh [Smith] had been the best stretch of his career, DET most entertaining of teams in 6th-8th race," noted Zach Lowe of Grantland.com the morning after the injury occurred.
It's hard to speculate on the nature of the injury, but Jennings' reaching for the back of his ankle leads you to believe it could be an Achilles injury.
D.J. Augustin will presumably take over the starting role while Jennings is out. The Pistons should also get a longer look at 2014 second-round pick Spencer Dinwiddie. The combo guard has talent and a bigger frame at 6'6", yet he is still trying to show his full potential after tearing his ACL in January 2014.
