Curry Battles Ankle Soreness
Sunday, Feb. 22
Simmons reported the news of Curry's ankle soreness on Sunday.
After the game he told Simmons, "I'll be fine".
Oft-injured at the beginning of his career, Curry has ascended to superstardom as he's stayed healthy. The sixth-year guard has played in 78 games each of the last two seasons, a far cry from the ankle injuries that limited him to 26 contests in 2011-12. While he's dealt with minor ankle injuries since, they've been few and far between.
That's a good thing for the Warriors because their offense has died in the past with Curry on the bench.
Curry is the engine around whom the Warriors' offense is revolved. Having depth in Shaun Livingston will help and Klay Thompson has shined this season, but it'll be interesting to see how Golden State fares without Curry in the lineup for as long as he's out.
With this team competing at the top of the Western Conference, any extended absence from Curry could have a major impact on seeding.
