Fury vs. Chisora 2: Final Rematch Odds, Predictions and Fight Schedule

Steven CookNov 29, 2014

Tyson Fury will aim to take down the last opponent standing between him and a world heavyweight title shot Saturday night, in a rematch against Dereck Chisora.

Two of Britain's most talented heavyweights battled to a memorable fight back in 2011, and not even three losses since then for Chisora could prevent the inevitable rematch between the two.

As if the bout needed any more sizzle, the opportunity of all opportunities awaits the winner: the chance to fight world champion Wladimir Klitschko.

After some big-time talk was thrown from both directions in the weeks and months leading up to the rematch, it was only fitting that the weigh-in Friday for Fury-Chisora 2 featured some interesting moments.

It started with this, per MailOnline Sport:

Fury gave his much-disliked foe the type of stare-down that only a 6'9" man could administer, towering over his 6'1" opponent in a way that few boxers can do to their opposition.

Chisora, ever the jokester, opted to take a fun approach and offered to shake Fury's hand—which he unsurprisingly declined, per Daily Express' Charles Perrin.

The 26-year-old Fury has used his massive reach advantage against all of his opponents, en route to a perfect 22-0 record. He'll maintain yet another massive advantage Saturday, with an 85" reach to Chisora's 74" reach.

But as Chisora sees it, that just means a further distance for Fury to fall, per BoxNation:

Chisora has reasons to feel confident in going up against Britain's most dangerous heavyweight. After all, he had as much success as anyone has had against Fury the last time these two fought in 2011—but it still ended with a unanimous-decision win for Fury.

Chisora didn't bounce back strong from that, losing three of his next four. But he's since turned it around with three consecutive wins, and that has Fury ready to put his preparations to the test, per ESPN.com's Dan Rafael.

"

We've seen each plenty of times at press conference and I've said all I've got to say. I'm done with talking. I'm here to fight now, and Saturday night I'll produce the goods.

I've worked my arse off for this fight. It's the hardest I've ever trained, definitely. I know that I've done everything I can in training camp and now it's down to Saturday night.

"

The underdog has 13 knockouts for his career, but he won't be able to notch one against Fury. Fury will use his reach to his advantage, staying away from danger and inflicting the most damage.

Like the last time these two faced off, things will be noticeably even throughout the opening few rounds. But also like the last time, Chisora will be worn down by his efforts to close the reach gap and won't have enough in the latter rounds to compete.

Fury will blow it open late and emerge with another unanimous-decision win to advance to face Klitschko next.

Prediction: Fury wins via unanimous decision
