Lionel Messi Becomes All-Time Champions League Top Scorer
At the moment, Leo Messi can barely go a few days without breaking an incredible goalscoring record.
On Saturday, the Barcelona superstar scored twice to become La Liga's all-time top goalscorer with a tally of 253.
In the 38th minute of the Blaugrana's Champions League match at APOEL Nicosia on Tuesday, Messi scored his 72nd Champions League goal.
He is now the competition's all-time leader in goals, having scored in 23 different cities to move past Raul's long-standing record.

Clearly not content with making European history, the diminutive Argentine nonchalantly slotted home his 73rd Champions League goal to put Barca 3-0 up in the 58th minute.
Messi then put the icing on the record-breaking cake by completing his hat-trick in the 87th minute.

It was his fifth Champions League hat-trick and the 31st of his career.
It is daunting to think that the top goalscorer in Barcelona, La Liga and European Cup history is still just 27 years old.
