Cortez Allen Has Surgery on Broken Thumb
The Pittsburgh Steelers are already dealing with injuries in the secondary, but the unit could be getting thinner as cornerback Cortez Allen had surgery on his broken thumb.

Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review shared additional details surrounding Cortez's injury:
The 26-year-old defender signed a five-year, $26 million extension in early September, but had played poorly through the early portion of the season. He was subsequently benched, according to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Since being relegated to a backup role, Allen has been a contributing member of the special team’s unit. He has 41 combined tackles and two interceptions in 11 games this season.
