Will the real Chuck Liddell please stand up?
It would be an understatement to say it has been strange week in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. From UFC pioneer Kimo Leopoldo sleeping through alleged false reports of his death to Josh Barnett testing positive for anabolic steroid preventing a match-up with Fedor Emelianenko just 10 days away from Affliction’s third event, there is now no such thing as a slow week for MMA news anymore.
Now Chuck Liddell is shaking up the world of Twitter. According to mmajacked.com, a website in which Chuck Liddell is part owner, a fake Chuck Liddell has been posting from the micro blogging site since April 23rd.
Attracting a following of over 7,000 Twitter users the phony Liddell has raised several red flags with his recent postings on the site.
"It's unfortunate that someone would exploit the name of a great athlete like Chuck Liddell and perpetuate this fraud amongst genuine fans." Chris Storace President of MMAJacked Inc. said. "After repeated attempts to contact Twitter for resolution, we can only hope now that the company finally sees fit to address the issue swiftly and decisively."

The 39-year-old Liddell is the latest member of UFC Hall of Fame. The UFC light heavyweight champion from April 2005 to May 2007 Liddell debuted at UFC 17 and has a record 16 wins inside the Octagon.
Following a knockout loss to Mauricio Rua at UFC 97 UFC president Dana White announced Liddell’s retirement, though recent word from Liddell’s camp is that he would be open to a bout sometime in 2010.
