British Bookmakers Now Think 2022 World Cup Will Be in the USA Not Qatar
The 2022 World Cup is now more likely to be held in the United States than in Qatar, according to a number of British bookmakers.
Qatar were awarded the rights to host the competition in 2010, but concerns over the extreme hot weather and workers' conditions have led to speculation that the tournament might have to be moved.
Just last month, Theo Zwanziger, a member of FIFA's Executive Committee. said he believed that the competition would not be hosted in the Middle East.
On Friday, respected journalist Bryan Armen Graham noted that leading bookmakers in the UK were offering shorter odds on the tournament being held in the US than in Qatar.

As of Saturday at 12:15 p.m. BST, those odds remained in the United States' favour, according to odds comparison site Oddschecker, with three sites offering a shorter price on the US, one on Qatar and one with the odds dead even.

The United States submitted a failed bid for the 2022 World Cup, but the fantastic infrastructure within the country would make them ideal candidates to step in and host the competition if a host nation ever failed to meet FIFA standards.
