Jazz All-Star F Carlos Boozer recently had his ticket punched out of a town by a current teammate.
With Utah matching the Portland Trail Blazers offer for Restricted Free Agent F Paul Millsap, it effectively eats any salary room that would make them comfortable keeping Boozer while also keeping a fair distance from the NBA Luxury Tax
With Millsap signed, it means Boozer and his $12.7 million figure are being shopped hard on the trading block
He has already been involved in one three-team trade rumor revolving around the Bulls, and Blazers whereas Boozer would go to Chicago, Bulls F Tyrus Thomas would go to Utah, and Bulls G Kirk Hinrich would go to Portland.
The Blazers reluctance to part with G Jerryd Bayless ultimately nixed that deal.
According to Yahoo Sports Adrian Wojnarowski, there is another three-way trade well under way involving Boozer with the Memphis Grizzlies and the Miami Heat.
The Heat would receive Boozer, finally quelling G Dwyane Wade's whining about getting more talent and would shed the salary Utah wants to get rid of
The Jazz would ship some of the players acquired, such as Heats F Udonis Haslem, or F Dorrell Wright, to the Grizzlies, who can take the salary cap hits.
The Grizzles would likely receive some small time compensation for their troubles, and a player to boot, not a bad gig. Not like anyone is going to go there in the 2010 Free Agent Bonanza, they can afford to spend some $.
Like stated before, with Millsap signed, all signs point to a swift Boozer exit, Dwyane Wade must be excited at the possibilities.
