Cook Active vs. Penn State

Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press reported Cook will start today.
Cook Is Heartbeat of Spartans Offense
Cook was a big reason the Spartans were able to avert disaster to start the 2015 campaign, as they won three of their first six games by seven points or less. He threw for 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions in that span.
Backup QB Tyler O'Connor led the Spartans to an upset victory over Ohio State, and would have likely remained under center if Cook was out for the Penn State game. Dual-threat quarterback Damion Terry also took snaps against the Buckeyes, but the lack of experience under center looms large without Cook.
Head coach Mark Dantonio has always prided himself on maintaining a strong defense. There are still pieces in place for Sparty to succeed, including standout defensive end Shilique Calhoun.
Cook is the engine that makes Michigan State's offense go, so the Spartans coaching staff is undoubtedly happy to see him back on the field to close out the regular season.
