Despite only playing two games so far in the summer league, Jonny Flynn is currently leading the D-League in assist category with 10.5 per game. Marcus Williams passed out 17 assists as well, but has only played one game so far.

Ellington had a horrible debut, going 2-12 from the field, but bounced back in the second game more calm, and scored 22 points on 8-14 shooting.

Jonny Flynn's debut was mediocre.

He had 11 points and seven assists with seven turnovers. That assist to turnover ratio is bad, but despite the bad debut, Jonny Flynn displayed what every point guard needs to have...leadership.

Jonny Flynn is extremely charismatic, and it's no wonder that his teammates show respect when the ball is in his hands. He never stops talking, and he is very efficient on reading the defense when it comes to dishing the ball off.

He calls every play, he encourages, he talks, he yells, and he plays with heart.

Jonny Flynn's second game went even better, going for 12 points and 14 assists with six turnovers. Despite the six turnovers, the mentality and mechanics are there, after all it's only his second game.

His debut game was solid, but at times he was out of control and had mediocre shot selection. On a more positive note, he displayed quickness and an uncanny ability to dribble through defenses and dish the ball off.

His second game?

Even better, as he showed even more promise by building up the team's chemistry as the point guard. Jonny Flynn is not afraid of the contact, and he's built like a running back, which helps him get to the free throw line at a high rate.

Ellington's debut was horrific as he almost made every T'Wolves fan think that David Kahn wasted a pick. It was noted that Ellington was extremely hyperactive, and not in a good way.

He was very jittery and nervous, and, of course, who wouldn't be?

On a positive note, Ellington can rebound the ball as he piled up eight boards.

But his second game?

Very Good. Shooting over 60 percent from the field on 8-for-14 from the field, Wayne Ellington scored 22 points, not to mention shooting 4-for-7 from the three-point line.

Wayne Ellington showed that he calmed himself down, played his game, and, in turn, the game slowed down for him.

Jonny Flynn and Wayne Ellington were the two prospects we were looking at mostly, but there was one more player I was looking at, and that was Corey Brewer.

In his first action since December, Corey Brewer had an OK debut in the summer league. He went 4-for-11 from the field, but shot 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Corey Brewer was everything short of great, but he wasn't bad at all, even for a guy who hasn't had any 5-on-5 action since his injury.

He was looking to find his place on the court and didn't drive to the goal much, but did show promise on a few Jonny Flynn dishes.

His second game was almost virtually the same, except that he showed a little more confidence. Corey Brewer is showing promise, and he is still the defensive mindset player.

Corey Brewer could make his way into the starting five if he plays with a little more energy, develops his three-point shot, and raises his confidence while making sure his knee gets better.

Notable mention

Pecherov, the seven-footer acquired from Washington, showed he can rebound the ball, just not at a fast rate. He pulled down 10 boards in 27 minutes, but a little work in training camp and Pecherov can spread the defense with his three-point shooting.

He needs to get much more tougher, but I'm sure Al Jefferson will have no problem teaching him that.

If he can learn to bang with Al Jefferson, we could have a quality backup center.

Siler, the 6'11'' center, has some toughness. I wouldn't be surprised if the Wolves invited him to a training camp. I look for him to get some more minutes on the floor.
