NFL, Preview/Prediction

Well looky there.  It might not be much to brag to about but I think it just goes to show you.  Troy should be on everyone's map now.  Did you see the 2008 NFL draft?  Zero Alabama Crimson Tide Players.  ONE TROY TROJANS player and that is all that matters.

Leodis Mckelvin will make an immediate impact on special teams no doubt.  I just love the fact that he went number 11 the same as his former teammate Demarcus Ware.

But the real story is that ZERO Bama players went.  This just pumps me up.  All we here around is Bama this, Roll Tide that, and The BEAR.  Well Bama what?  You got nothing this year.  Even Auburn put some guys in.  I do understand that these are Shula's guys but give me a break.  It just goes to show that persistence and hard work will get you where you want to go.

Look at Troy they play the "Big Dogs" every year they take their lumps but slowly Troy has worked their way up.  I would venture to say that within the next two years Troy will no longer be that padded homecoming game instead teams will be looking to stay away from Troy.  I really hope though that big teams will fight to have Troy visit to build their strength of schedule.

If your old Bama boys don't step up they might just be over looked some more.  I am not trying to trash talk because I don't play so I can't get out there and show my stuff.  I also can't do anything about the fact that both Auburn and Alabama are scared to play Troy.

Last word I have.  It does appear though that Auburn has the most brains.  See I believe Auburn is scared that Troy will begin to get more publicity this year.  I believe this because Auburn had to steal Troy's offensive coordinator and I don't believe it was just because he is a great coach.  It is about Troy's spread offense that is so deadly and so much looked at that Auburn has to steal the coach to steal the spot light.

Troy don't worry about it you do your thing because there is no way Auburn runs it as smoothly as you or as quickly.  I enjoy Auburn football. I watch Auburn football but the "MEN OF TROY" are my boys.

GO TROJANS!!

  1. Hell yeah, go Troy. Interesting story/ shameless plug, I was actually at the Troy vs. Oklahoma State game working with ESPN (cord roller, nothing special) and Leodis Mckelvin threw me his helmet during one of his celebrations on the sidelines after a punt return.

Thanks for Tony Franklin, I really hope he works out.
