Round 1 Playoffs So Far...

As every team has now played at least 3 games, and the first round is starting to spice up a little.

My thoughts before and after the games started: 

CELTICS & HAWKS - At the start, most people (including myself) did not think the Hawks would win even one game but they definitely proved everyone and especially the Celtics wrong last night as Josh Smith soared with 27 points, 6 assists, and 9 rebounds.

I still think the Celtics will end the series 4 - 1. 

But, what was Al Horford thinking to taunt Paul Pierce? Just like J.R. Smith talking trash to Kobe after he had scored 49 points. Common now think. 

CAVALIERS & WIZARDS - I was actually unsure about this series, but from today's victory, it seems like the Cavs should have this series. The Wizards really needed to win today, but once again they failed. It will definitely take a lot for them to come back and in my perspective, it's not happening. 

MAGIC & RAPTORS - Overall, the Magic is to much for the Raptors. Even though Chris Bosh had a phenomenal 39 point game last night, the Magic still pulled away to a 106 - 94 victory. I have the Magic winning in game 5 maybe game 6.

PISTONS & 76'ERS - I actually thought that Detroit was going to sweep or at least beat the 6'ers in game 5. But once again, the 76'ers have come to play just like the Atlanta Hawks. As the 6'ers mopped up the Pistons on Friday by 20, they have built a lot of momentum for themselves. Still, i believe that the Pistons will pull through.

Lakers & Nuggets - As L.A. is up 3 - 0, there seems to be no hope for Denver. Lakers are simply out playing them on both ends of the floor while the Nuggets are trying to win only on the offensive end. I'm sorry to say this, but Carmelo Anthony is playing terrible. Shooting a terrible 5 - 22 from the field and not playing hard enough defense. Also, Lakers are dominating them on both the offensive and defensive boards and assists. You might say i'm just saying this because i am a Lakers fan, but face it, Lakers will definitely take this series at least in game 5. Plus, no one has ever came back in a 0 - 3 playoff series.

Jazz & Rockets - If the Rockets hadn't bailed out last night, they wouldn't give the Jazz such a big advantage. T - Mac really needs to step it up and lead his team past the first round. He's such a good player who has never advanced past the first round. He is certainly capable, but i'm not sure what's wrong. I don't think the Rockets will advance by the way they are playing.

Spurs & Suns - I'm really not sure why or how the Spurs let the Suns throttle them by 19 earlier today. They had a comfortable 3 - 0 lead and could've put this series in the bag, but they let the fans in San Antonio down. Still, they will come through and beat the Suns most likely in the next game.

Hornets & Mavs -The Hornets are really looking good out there but have a not so comfortable lead of 2 - 1. Chris Paul is definitely putting on a spectacular performance. I'm not sure why Josh Howard, Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry, and Jason Kidd can't do damage. The Hornets and Mavs are playing right now in game three, but it is really not looking pretty for Dallas. As of this moment they are down 83 to 60 with about 8 minutes left.

The Mavericks really need to win, but who knows?

As for the teams up 3 - 1 or 3 - 0, they have a comfortable cushion, and for those who don't, they need to make sure they get the cushion they want.
