With four days until the 2008 NFL Draft, it's time to update my second mock draft. 

News today of the Chiefs agreeing to send DE Jared Allen to the Vikings in exchange for their first round and two third round picks changes who Kansas City will draft on Saturday..

With that said... let's get started.

With the first pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select:

1. Miami Dolphins -- Jake Long, OT, Michigan

2. St. Louis Rams -- Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU

3. Atlanta Falcons -- Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College

  1. Those are interesting Pats and Chiefs picks. Do you really think that the Pats will go for a DT instead of of Keith Rivers who would fit their 3-4 scheme? Belichick loves his linebackers. The other question is do you think Rodgers-Cromartie will be around at 17? From what I've read about him is that he is a raw talent so taking him that high might be a stretch.

  2. Funny you ask -- those were the two toughest decisions for me. New England could do a million things with that pick. Rivers fits perfectly in their 3-4 system, but Ellis would be the best value at the pick. He's the second-best defensive tackle in the draft. They don't need a DT, but if they go for the best player on the board, it's him.

    As for Rodgers-Cromartie, he's one of the Top 3 CB's in the draft. It'd be between him and Jenkins for the Chiefs... and I gave Rodgers-Cromartie the nod because of upside. Like you said, he's a bit raw... but was still pretty dang impressive!
