Devin Hester or Brian Urlacher?
In recent news, the Chicago Bears have a situation. Brian Urlacher, the face of the Bears' franchise, is requesting a new contract. He would like a two-year deal and at least $10 million.
Urlacher's case is that if a player signs an eight-year deal and got injured in the second, the franchise cuts him. If a player signs an eight-year deal and played bad for three years, the franchise cuts him. So with the salary cap growing approixmately $40 million since he signed his nine-year deal, he not only wants a little paydirt, but deserves it.
The Bears are not communicating yet with Urlacher's agent, and sources say that he will voice out, and act out, on television or radio in frustration. I believe this will go on until training camp or even past training camp.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Bears have other contracts that need to be reviewed and revised as well. Devin Hester, the phenomenal special teams retuner who can burn past anyone in the league, still is in his rookie contract, which he has proven that he is worth more.
This is actually the Bears' first priority. The Bears have to have a ticket seller, and let's face it. If you give him the room, he is going to get you great field position. Also, the Bears want to get Hester in the slot or to lineup opposite Brandon LLoyd.
Too bad the Bears don't have a QB to take advantage of it. Anyways, the Bears also have to focus on re-signing Harrington to keep the pressure off of Urlacher once they do decide to sign Brian. Let's face the facts, if the Bears do not find a starting QB that can put the ball where it's needed, then this franchise will remain at .500 or below.
So really, I say sign Urlacher. The Bears' organization needs to show its players and its future players that if you play well, we will reward you. Then sign Hester and Harrington. Talk to his agent, get the deal done, and go on with the rest of the offseason, and know that the Bears will be a top-five defense.
