Transfer Rumour Rater: Ryan Gauld to Manchester United in the January Window
In an update on existing speculation, Manchester United have reportedly made the first move in the hunt to sign Dundee United starlet Ryan Gauld.
The Mirror's Steve Bates says that David Moyes' side have offered a fee off £3 million plus the promise of three friendlies with the Scottish Premiership side next summer in exchange for the youngster's services.
There could yet be a twist in the tale, however, as Bates writes:

With that kind of competition floating around the 17-year-old, the Red Devils are bound to have a tough time in winning the race for Gauld's signature, which is fast becoming a hot commodity.
The teenager has seven assists in his last two games for Dundee United and has earned the tag of "Mini Messi" among teammates.
