The Worst of the Memorial Day Red Hats
Major League Baseball issued red caps for all teams, incorporating a flag design within the team logo, to be worn on Memorial Day, July 4 weekend, and Sept. 11.
We saw the first of the three special events this past weekend, and while the consistency across ball yard dugouts provided tremendous reverence to our past and present armed services, we must wonder; which Major League team looked the worst in their red lids?
Obviously, teams with red tints in their native logos and uniforms (i.e. Cardinals, Nationals, Diamondbacks) experienced fairly seamless transitions, but there were many teams on Monday that didn’t quite look *as* fashionable.

Thomson Reacts to Cora Offer
San Diego Padres: tan and blue w/ red hat.
Kansas City Royals: powder blue w/ red hats.
Oakland A’s: green and yellow w/ red hats. Might be a nice look around Christmas time.
Pittsburgh Pirates: black and gold w/ red hats
New York Yankees: gray and navy blue w/ red hats
Baltimore Orioles: orange and white w/ red hats
By far, the Orioles stand as the least fashionable of the bunch, simply because their standard orange is close to the red Memorial Day hats. Although, none of the aforementioned teams looked good.
It shouldn’t go unnoticed that the umpires looked quite ridiculous on Monday as well.
