The Draft, Free Agency, Cap Space, Trades and The T'Wolves

This offseason is a make it or break it offseason. The Timberwolves will either prevail profound, or fail while they were down.

The Timberwolves are set up for success with new GM David Kahn. David Kahn was at one of the top seats when the Indiana Pacers had their Easten Conference finals success. He had a big impact on getting Ron Artest, and Jermaine O'Neal. David Kahn has all the credentials, so the Wolves have a good new boss to work with.

Cap Space

David Kahn has stressed the free agency, and everyone has asked, how much money do the Timberwolves have? Understand last year we were paying Juwan Howard and Troy Hudson over five million each, yet they were not on our rosters. Jason Collins, Kevin Ollie and Shelden Williams all combined for around 10-11 million dollars. All are unlikely to be resigned. But just Juwan Howard and Troy Hudson combined for the same exact thing. So realistically the Timberwolves can expect to have anywhere from 18 million to 22 million dollars more than they had last year. Rodney Carney will most likely be resigned, so count him in.

The Draft

The Timberwolves have three first round draft picks, and two second round draft picks. The No. six pick, 18 and the 28th in the 1st round. With the No. six pick, we all think that if we do not get a guy like Brandon Jennings at the point, then we will trade the No. six pick. Thabeet is the only C in the top 10, and he's unavailable to us due to the lottery. The Timberwolves will most likely try to get a C and a PG in the draft by trade. The Timberwolves have plenty of trade options, such as: Mike Miller, Craig Smith, Sebastian Telfair and Brian Cardinal. Miller will most likely be the package closer, and Smith the sleeping valuable player. The only true keepers on the roster are Jefferson, Foye, Love, Gomes, and Carney.

Free Agency

The Timberwolves are going to get depth at the PG position and the C position. There are not any true point guards in the free agency, but there are some keys there. Such as Allen Iverson, Speedy Claxton, Mike Bibby, Jason Kidd, C.J Watson, Shannon Brown, Nate Robinson, Tyronn Lue and Ronnie Price. The key free agents at the C position are Marcin Gorat, Adonal Foyle, Robert Swift, Eddy Curry and Jermaine O'Neal. The best as far as PG's I think are Ronnie Price, and Shannon Brown. Shannon Brown is highly energetic, and I wouldn't mind signing him for a year. The best as far as C's I think are Gortat. He would fit over here with Jefferson, and the Timberwolves need to seriously consider signing him.

The Timberwolves

Next year can be a huge success. The only thing I can say now ladies and gents is time is of the essence. The sky is the limit.
