My advice to all Mets fans once again is to take the day off.

No WFAN, no 1050, even stay off dopey blogs like this one.

It's a nice sunny day. 85 degrees. An off day - go enjoy it.

I caught some sports talk last night and again this morning and the lunatics are all on their cell-phones.

You can either enjoy the nice weather, or you can grab your pitchforks and torches and storm Citi Field.

Take a deep breath before you do.

While you're firing Omar, ask yourself who you want in the GM's office. Tony Bernazard? That's who you're going to get...the man who has Jeff Wilpon's ear.

Fire Manuel? Suddenly Jerry is awful because he didn't argue a play? Razor Shines told him he missed third. It was obvious. Nothing to argue.

Then there's "break up the core!". In April you idiots booed David Wright - who then started hitting .450. Maybe we should have traded him to free up a position for Murphy.

Murphy? He went from being the golden child to the problem in about three weeks. That double play looked nice last night. He's one at bat away from being a rookie, and it is May. Cut him some slack.

Maybe the Mets should lose Reyes and Delgado, you know, break up the core. What would the lineup look like without those guys? Have you been enjoying it?

Y'all seem to have forgotten that a month ago the story was pitching. Well, Livan and Redding earned their money this week, so another crisis has been averted.

It's baseball. Baseball is streaky. You had a great week and a half, now you had a lousy week. You're going to have a lousy weekend too unless a power hitting shortstop falls from the trees.

Today is "pile on the Mets day" and tomorrow will be "wild speculation rumors day" because of the off-day.

Go outside. Francesca will be there tomorrow. He'll be fine without you.
