Rob Gronkowski Re-Emerges from Surgery Recovery at Wild 4th of July BBQ

After a lull in the action, the Summer of Gronk appears to be back on schedule.

Lying low has been the name of the game for Rob Gronkowski since he underwent back surgery in June, and word of the New England Patriots wild man/tight end's status has been nearly nonexistent—until the Fourth of July rolled around. 

In true Gronk fashion, when parties began around the nation on July 3, he emerged from his quiet resting place to answer the call. Joe Kinsey of Busted Coverage spotted photos of the incident, and it would appear that things are going swimmingly. 

The newest party pictures show Gronk taking in a pre-Independence Day celebration with friends in Buffalo, N.Y. 

The scene was “wild,” according to one bro, who claimed to be at the party. 

Now, you cannot trust a Frey, but we’re prone to believing any event where Gronkowski and alcohol are in close proximity is a raucous affair. We don't know all the details, but women and bikinis were involved (of course).

On the other hand, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear Gronkowski didn’t go nuts on the Fourth. The only image of Gronk on the Fourth of July is an image of him with a young lady in a bikini.

That hat is serious, but an awesome floppy beach hat isn't proof that Gronk went buck wild celebrating our nation's declaration of independence. As of this moment, there's no proof that Gronk did anything to tick off Patriots fans, who are on edge over the franchise’s withering tight end situation.  

Little is known about Gronkowski’s recovery timeline except that anonymous sources close to Gronk have claimed the tight end could be back on the field by the end of the NFL preseason, just in time for Week 1. 

In the meantime, Patriots fans will have to hope he keeps a clean nose and doesn’t do anything to throw his back out. In other words, take it easy on the Gronk, ladies—and vice versa, Rob.
