NHL Playoffs: Anaheim Ducks Repeat Is Only a Matter of Time

Why will they win again. Let's break it down by each category.

Goaltenders 

Jean Sebastien Giguerewho has been his dominate self this season posting a save percentage of 92.2 % and a GAA of 2.12 and 35 wins. His backup Jonas Hillerhas been stellar with a Save percentage of 92.7% and a GAA of 2.06 with 10 wins. Look for Giguere to put forth a conn smyth performance this playoff.

Defense

Led by Chris Pronger and Scott Niedermayer. Pronger adds the physical presence only Dion Phaneuf and Zdeno Chara have, while Niedermayer can bring the puck up and out of the zone better than most forwards. The second pairing includes a couple of solid defensemen in Francois Beauchemin and Mathieu Schneider who can both put up points with a combined 60 points(14 goals 46 Assists).

Forwards

This team gets scoring from all different players. Look for Ryan Getzlaf to lead the team in scoring through the playoffs. Teemu Selanneonly put up 15 points(5 goals, 10 assists) last year in 21 games, look for that number to go up significantly. Dustin Penner left and Brian Burke brought in Todd Bertuzzi, who is not the same player he was but brings the physical presence and is willing to take a beating in the crease. Corey Perry had his break out year scoring 29 goals and should be joining the club later in the first round of the playoffs. Chris Kunitz added 50 points as well. Doug Weight shouldn't be ruled out as a threat, Weight is career .80 points per game player who can still put the puck in the net.

The way this team looks, taking 4 games out of 7 against this team seems almost impossible.
