You Can't Be Serious? Ronaldinho at Manchester City? Really?
A while back I wrote an article about Real Madrid's supposed interest in young Scotland striker Steven Fletcher.
Real Madrid had contacted his club Hibernian and requested DVD's of the players season.
This requesting of DVD's from a players club seems to have taken off, with reports that AC Milan have requested all available footage of West Ham United left back, George McCartney.
The Northern Ireland International, who has won 25 (1) caps, has been an ever present for West Ham since signing from Sunderland in 2006.
But good enough to replace Paolo Maldini?
Interesting times indeed!
Not as interesting of course as the apparent interest in Ronaldinho by Manchester City. The Brazilians agent (his brother) has already had talks with City and the chat on the town is that a deal may be a real possibility.
But why?
No offence to Man City, but why would he move to a side with no UEFA Cup ambitions, never mind a UEFA Champions League slot, next door to one of the biggest clubs in the world?
The Barcelona star has also reportedly been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a muscle tear. This means he may well have played his last game for the Catalan giants.
The former world player of the year has attracted plenty of controversy this season with a seemingly lethargic view of training and a penchant for the Barcelona night life.
He's obviously never been out in Manchester!
So will any of this actually bear fruit or are there just not enough footballing stories to fill the British tabloids?
