50 Cent Tries to Kiss Erin Andrews at Daytona 500
If you enjoy your motorsports with a large side of awkward, you were in luck at this year's Daytona 500. In case you missed it, 50 Cent tried, and failed, to lay a fat one on Erin Andrews.
As USA Today reports, Erin Andrews was at Daytona working for Fox Sports as a sideline reporter. While she searched for Danica Patrick, she happened upon an unlikely celebrity sighting: 50 cent.
Because Andrews could not locate Patrick, it was a stroke of luck to find a high-profile interview opportunity. Very quickly, though, that good fortune turned extremely awkward, as you can see below:
After the cringe-worthy exchange, Andrews went into the crowd to get away from a salivating 50 Cent while the rapper followed. Apparently, he was helping her look for Patrick. At least that's how I saw it.
Come on, 50. Did you really think you were going to have a makeout session on national TV? Did you think Andrews would throw away her career, drop the mic and get it on?
Was 50 Cent out of line?
Andrews is famous, well-paid and working her dream job, but there is one major downside to being an attractive woman in a male-dominated sphere: incessant advances from athletes and celebrities alike.
And as 50 Cent showed, some are ready to forgo the advances and try to hook up right off the bat.
From getting grinded on by linebacker Rey Maualuga to having her personal space invaded by 50, Andrews has to research sporting events, report on them and make sure to duck all the creepers.
Here is 50 Cent's reasoning in tweet form.
Hey I wanted to kiss herso I did "@mevinceg: Damn!!! @50cent is the shit! He kissed @erinandrews in one of the ... m.tmi.me/LH1s9

That's a very caveman way of thinking. I am slightly shocked that he didn't bonk her on the head with a club first.
He may have been going in for a peck on the cheek, but that's not at all what it looked like.
